In this story by childrens book illustrator and author James Rice an ordinarychild named Lyn is bored by the prospect of another slow day with nothing to doand wanders into a strange pet shop where he buys a mysterious fuzzy seed. Inthe woods behind his house the fuzzy seed grows from a downy flower into afriendly giant of a creature that becomes the boys friend and constantcompanion playing games and walking in the woods. The pet shop owner hadwarned Lyn Beware the March winds and the cold winds and sure enough whenthe seasons change and the wind begins to blow Fuzzy grows smaller and smalleruntil he disappears.
