In 1681 Boone Hall Plantation began its long history in the Lowcountry. Fromthe Boone family through the McRaes the plantations residents black andwhite all left a significant imprint upon the land as the plantation survivedtwo wars and became the longest running brickyard in the area. As a center oftourism Boone Hall embodies the romance of the South while providing theresources necessary to understand the network of lives that has inhabited theplantation for over 300 years.
